2010 was quite a year for me!
In May 2010, I despaired of my search for love and a family, and I packed my bags, left my home in Wellington, New Zealand, and headed to London to party, travel and be young.
A chance encounter with an Aussie guy who caught my eye and heart, and come August 2010 I was moving to Melbourne.
Fast (very fast) forward to November 2010, and I was crouching in a toilet stall at my new workplace, watching that surprise second line slowly flush bright with my pee.
Those two little lines changed my life forever!
What a journey I was about to go on! Being a blogger from way back, I decided early on to document my journey in blog form… and this, unlike so many other journeys I have been on, is a neverending one, one I will be on for the rest of my life.
The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.

In August 2011, my beautiful baby girl was born. She is sweet, funny, gorgeous and makes me laugh every day.
Here I blog about my life with my lovely little family. I have a strong creative bent, which I engage mostly with photography, and a spot of writing and cooking. My photo a day project can be found on this blog, as can a growing collection of my recipes. I also have a strong interest in green living and gentle instinctive parenting… or as Daddy C likes to call it: “hippy stuff”.
