Naturally, after falling asleep at 4:30 pm after yesterday’s major grumble day, bubba woke up at 2 am and thought it was playtime. There wasn’t much I could do but let her play. She went back to sleep at 4 am… and I had my alarm set for 4:30 am to get up and get an early train for my weekend away. I didn’t mind too much though, because I felt really bad after how much I struggled to maintain an even keel yesterday and was glad I got to give her a cuddle before I left for the weekend.
Bubba went off to daycare for the day and I spent most of my day on a train from Perth to Kalgoorlie, then being shown all the myriad sights of that sprawling metropolis by the friend I was visiting. (For the non-Aussie’s, that’s a bit tongue in cheek… Kalgoorlie is a small-ish gold mining town about 600 km inland, in the middle of the Western Australian desert).
