Books, Glorious Books

I have to admit, today I realised as I was going to bed that I hadn’t taken an “other” photo for the day – so I just snapped one off the pile of books at the end of the bed.  One of my many piles.

The top and bottom books are from the Troy Game series by Sara Douglass (fantasy fiction – yes I’m a geek).  Like many series, it started off quite well and then went a bit silly at the end.

People rave about The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett.  It was ok but I really didn’t get what people love about it – I guess maybe it was overhyped before I began so I expected too much from it…?

My favourite in this pile is The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet’s Nest, the final book in the Millenium series.  This was an incredibly rare series that actually got better with each book.  I love finding a book that is impossible to put down.

  1. Emmie! Hehe my most angry/upset/almost burst into tears moment of yesterday was not any of my psych patients but the fact that I left my book in the office and so didn’t get my book drugs 😛 I’m reading ‘let me sing you gentle songs’ by linda olsson – makes me want to go to sweden. sigh.
